I've been asked in one comment to see the difference between RAW and jpg images for the Panasonic DMC FX150.
I've used Raw Photo Processor on OS X to get the data out of the rw2 file. The only adjustment I made was to change the white balance from "Auto" to "As Shot". By doing that, it's made the colours more vivid, but still not as vivid as the in-camera jpg conversion did.
The files are from the original set featuring the popcorn and the Pringles packaging, so you can look for lots of detail in the writing on the outside of the boxes.
Rather than host them here, I've put them into a FX-150 public project over at Savefile. Each image has a jpg, the raw rw2 file and the 16bit tiff file from Raw Photo Processor. Savefile works, but you may have to click through a few screens to get the files. You shouldn't have to register to download files.
As mentioned above, the processed raw images (now in .tiff) look a little pale in comparison to the in-camera jpgs. I feel that Raw Photo Processor managed to get the files to the point of where what you do with them is personal preference, as opposed to still requiring more work to get them acceptable. I'm now more impressed with Raw Photo Processor that I was originally.

Thanks for letting me know there are issues with the download. I can't fix it right now, but should be able to look at it tonight or early tomorrow. I'll post back when I've resolved the issue.
FX150 raw sample downloads
Hi,
It doesn't work as I use the limited speed download so I don't have to register and all I end up getting is a 2kb html file. FYI
Thanks for those comparison
